Cover Reveal for Depths of Night, a New Ragnar Stormbringer Tale by Stephen Zimmer

Seventh Star Press is proud to reveal the cover art by Olivia Pro Design for Depths of Night, the first Ragnar Stormbringer tale by award-winning author Stephen Zimmer. The novella will be released in eBook formats on Wednesday, April 4!

The sword and sorcery/dark fantasy novella is the first of several exciting upcoming eBook releases from Stephen Zimmer, some featuring Ragnar Stormbringer, and others featuring Rayden Valkyrie. The stand-alone tales will give readers a chance to further explore the world featured in the Rayden Valkyrie novels Heart of a Lion and Thunder Horizon.  Releases will include both short stories and novellas.

The Ragnar Stormbringer character is also featured in the TV Pilot Rayden Valkyrie, Saga of a Lionheart, where he is performed by Brock O’Hurn. The project is nearing the completion of post-production and can be followed at www.raydenvalkyrie.com.

A Kindle pre-order window for Depths of Night will be opened on Friday, March 23.

Synopsis of Depths of Night: After a harrowing end to a long sea journey, the famed northern warrior Ragnar Stormbringer and a force of warriors step ashore in the lands of the Petranni, a tribal people known for their workings in silver and gold. The search for plunder takes a sharp turn when homesteads, villages, and temple sites show signs of being recently abandoned.

When it is discovered that the Petranni have all taken refuge within a massive stronghold, Ragnar and the others soon fall under the shadow of an ancient, deadly adversary. Wielding his legendary war axe  Raven Caller, Ragnar finds his strength tested like never before.

Seventh Star Press Announces New Collections of Rayden Valkyrie and Ragnar Stormbringer Tales by Stephen Zimmer!

Seventh Star Press is proud to announce exciting new collections of both Rayden Valkyrie and Ragnar Stormbringer stories by award-winning author Stephen Zimmer, with individual tales to be released monthly in eBook formats!

The first of these new titles will be the Ragnar Stormbringer novella “Depths of Night”, set for release at the end of March.  “Depths of Night” represents the first Ragnar Stormbringer tale to be published!

The stand-alone tales will give readers a chance to further explore the world featured in the Rayden Valkyrie novels Heart of a Lion and Thunder Horizon.  Releases will include both short stories and novellas.

Stephen had this to say about the new titles:

“While I work on new installments in series such as Fires in Eden and get ready for the release of my first YA novel Dream of the Navigator, I wanted to be sure that my readers had several new tales to look forward to in 2018.

I have written four brand new Rayden Valkyrie short stories and two Ragnar Stormbringer novellas that will be the first of a new batch of releases planned for a pace of about one new title a month.  Readers can look forward to a diverse range of settings for these adventures, which take place at various points in the lifetimes of these two heroic characters.  They do not need to be read in any particular order, either.

Rayden and Ragnar are two very different characters, and I am confident sword and sorcery and fantasy fans will have a great experience adventuring with each of these heroic characters.  Each of these stories involve different strengths and challenges with regard to Rayden and Ragnar, and I have a lot of fun bringing them to life in writing.

The Ragnar Stormbringer character came to life when I developed the storyline for the pilot and accompanying series for Rayden Valkyrie: Saga of a Lionheart. He is portrayed wonderfully by Brock O’Hurn in the independent TV Pilot that we shot in the summer of 2017, but as of yet the Ragnar character has not been featured in my published literary work.  These new tales give me a chance to begin telling Ragnar’s story, in addition to telling more of Rayden’s.

Even better, there is a whole lot more where these came from!”
